Join us for an exotic adventure  in

Postponed until September 2021, exact dates TBA

Discover a country steeped in history and traditions; of shifting sand dunes, snowcapped mountains, the deep blue sea, of ancient cities with labyrinthine alleyways, the tantalizing mix of spices and the sugary taste of mint tea. Morocco is a country of sensory delights from the muezzin’s call to prayer to the pungent odor of leather hides drying in the centuries-old tanneries to the colorful array of slippers piled high in the souks.

Immerse yourself in two of the country’s most exciting cities: experience the laid-back vibe of Essaouira, a white-washed former Portuguese stronghold on the Atlantic—once home to the likes of Jimi Hendrix and vibrant Marrakech, much more African in feel, whose world-renowned, J’ma el Fna square has long been the crossroads for caravans coming from the deep Sahara.

Two luxury hotels are ‘home’ during this week-long retreat; an intimate, lavish former-riad (or small palace) in Essaouira and a more sprawling hotel conveniently located off J’ma el Fna square in Marrakech.

Morocco’s cuisine is considered one of the world’s best, and you can expect farm to table dining at every meal. Start off each day with a delicious breakfast complete with homemade jams, fresh fruits, eggs, artisanal yogurts and cheeses, dates (Morocco has more than 100 kinds!) and the typical pancakes and crepes (behgrir and m’smemmen). Traditional dishes like (tagine, pastilla, and couscous) as well as international fare are featured for lunch and dinner and are a highlight of the week.

Meditation, yoga nidra, and beach yoga are complemented by an oceanside camel trek, a fun and casual hands-on cooking lesson at the famous kitchen of “Madada” in a converted almond warehouse, a full-day guided walking tour of Marrakech, complete with entry to the lush (and impossibly blue) Majorelle Gardens, Bahia Palace, Contemporary Photography Museum, and a stop (and shop) at a women-owned argan oil cooperative.

There’s plenty of time to relax on your own and indulge in the unique experience of a hammam (or other spa) treatment at either hotel. Try kite surfing, SUP, or surfing in the ‘windy city’ of Essaouira, horseback ride, peruse galleries and souks, visit a nearby winery, or just soak up the Moroccan sun.
